We are seeking a highly skilled and organised Legal Personal Assistant (PA) to join a prestigious law firm based in London City Centre. As a Legal PA, you will provide essential support to multiple partners and associates, ensuring smooth operations and efficient delivery of legal services to your clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with legal document preparation, including drafting, formatting, and proofreading legal correspondence, contracts, and briefs.
- Manage calendars, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings and conference calls.
- Maintain and organise legal files and documents, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records are maintained.
- Conduct legal research and compile relevant information and precedents for case preparation.
- Assist in the preparation and submission of court filings and other legal documents.
- Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and other parties involved in legal matters.
- Handle confidential and sensitive information with utmost discretion and maintain client confidentiality.
- Provide administrative support such as answering phone calls, managing email correspondence, and handling travel arrangements for attorneys when required.
- Collaborate with other members of the support staff and assist with overflow tasks as needed.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Legal Secretary, Legal Assistant, or similar role in a law firm or legal department.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in using legal software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Outstanding attention to detail and exceptional proofreading and editing skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information.
- Professional demeanour and the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
