Legal Counsel - Financial Services - West Midlands £55,000 pa

This highly regarded, employer of choice, is looking to add a further lawyer to it's in-house legal team.

You will provide advice on a range of matters and manage legal risk accordingly, working closely with a talented team as well as engaging with external counsel.

The role will incorporate

- Financial products regulation (FCA) covering customer lending and savings , marketing and risk

- Finance Litigation, non-standard, devising strategies and managing external counsel

- Legal policy work providing ad-hoc support and training

- Manage the property portfolio for the business

The ideal candidate will be legal qualified with experience in financial services (either in-house of practice). Solicitors, Barristers, CILEX all welcome to apply.

Ideally you will have regulatory experience advising on customer products such as mortgages, lending and savings. However if you are coming from a financial services litigation background with an interest or understanding of some of the more general key issues, we are also very interested to hear from you.

You will enjoy building relationships, provide commercial pragmatic advice and have strong analytical skills

You will join a supportive, friendly team highly regarded internally.

Salary on offer c.£55,000 plus benefits with genuine agile working moving forward (office one day a week for team meeting).
