Legal Counsel - Employment - West Midlands based - Major UK Business
This is an opportunity for an all round employment lawyer either from industry or private practice to build their in-house career as part of a hugely proactive, collegiate legal team with this market leading organisation.
Reporting to the Legal Director, you will support and assist the UK business in relation to all aspects of employment law. Provide commercially pragmatic and solution based legal advice to a broad range of stakeholders across the group from manufacturing, operations, logistics and production through to marketing, sales, finance, C-suite and of course the HR/People/Shared Service team.
The role is broad and will include management and responsibility for
- Tribunal cases, claims and disputes
- TUPE matters, acquisitions, change management programmes
- Industrial and Employee Relations
- Organisation change, policy and contractual terms
- Delivering training, designing templates, driving efficiencies
This is a fast paced, dynamic environment so proactivity, a robust, commercial outlook and strong communication/relationship building skills are all essential.
The ideal candidate for this Legal Counsel - Employment role will have 4/5+ years PQE gained in private practice or in-house and be a genuine employment law all-rounder including the necessary tribunal and policy exposure.
You will be passionate about your area of expertise and enjoy variety. A natural problem solver who can influence and drive change.
Salary is c.£55-70,000 + car allowance + bonus (DOE)
Hybrid working with 3 days in the office 2 at home (ability to drive essential)
Commutable from Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Walsall, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Crewe, Solihull, Stoke
