Gleeson Recruitment Group are pleased to be supporting a global firm in the recruitment of a Internal Communications and Employee Engagement Manager. We are looking for a specialist to bring their expertise and new ideas to the business and help shape and form their Employee Engagement strategy and put a huge focus on what is important to this company - their workforce!
Job title: Internal Communications and Employee Engagement Manager
Location: Birmingham
Salary: £40,000-£50,000
Contract: Full time - 12-month FTC
WFH policy: Hybrid - 2 - 3 days in office
The role:
To successfully implement and deliver an Internal Communications and Employee Engagement strategy across the business of over 450 employees. This is a new role to the business so we are looking for someone who can bring new ideas to the table and deliver with success a dedicated strategy and improve the current output of internal communications.
This will be an all-rounded internal communications role with comms and events being delivered throughout the year across multiple platforms.
Key requirements:
- Create and implement internal communications strategy across the business
- Create content for multiple channels to reach employees across the business - including but not limited to intranet, newsletters, email and other media
- Maintain a suitable tone of voice for the mass audience that aligns with the companies' values and style, externally included
- Ensure that communication materials are available for relevant channels consistently
- Measure success of internal communication strategy via reporting and data
- Consistently continue to develop and improve the current strategy
- Work in collaboration with HR team
- Work across teams in the business to deliver key communications
- Work in line with HR Team to deliver diversity and inclusion theme as well as other corporate social responsibility policies
- Advise on the improvement of the current intranet system and make recommendations towards a system that employees will engage with
- Contribute communications and systems to improve prospect employee attraction
Candidate criteria:
- Have strong experience within a similar role at similar seniority level
- Experience implementing a successful Internal Communication and Employee Engagement strategy
- Have a good HR knowledge
- Excellent content creation skills
- Excellent copy writing skills
- Able to communicate effectively to a highly intelligent workforce and communicate in a tone of voice that is in line with the firm's environment
- Excellent time management skills and ability to manage expectations of internal stakeholders
- Able to bring new ideas and has a strong desire to create change and improvement to the employee engagement strategy
- Able to work autonomously
- Is a self-starter
