My client, a global leader in manufacturing requires an interim reporting specialist to work with the UK subsidiary to implement a new suite of finance reports and improve the quality of existing ones. Currently, reports are hardcoded into the system and have no flexibility which is impacting on the ability of finance to respond quickly to information requests from head office. This is a discrete, 6 month (with likely extension) stand alone project which can be carried out remotely working with the finance and IT teams.
Specifically the role will involve working with MS Dynamics AX2009 designing, testing and implementing new reports as identified by the finance team and improving current inefficiencies with existing reports. There will be an element of working with the finance and IT teams to understanding business processes to enable improvements in existing reporting. Finally, my client will require a handover to the IT team to enable ongoing maintenance of reporting in the future.
The successful candidate will have experience of developing and improving finance reports in MS Dynamics AX2009 and SQL/VBA report writing. Knowledge of business process flows would also be useful as would experience of Cognos, specifically reporting and uploading forms. This role will suit an experienced interim systems accountant or project reporting specialist, ideally who has carried out a similar assignment previously. We anticipate this project will sit outside of the changes to the IR35 legislation planned for April.
