Infrastructure Engineer (Cloud) - £35,000 - £40,000 - Hybrid (1-2 days in office)
We're working alongside an international client that have an exciting opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to join their dynamic Infrastructure team based in Staffordshire.
You will be responsible for the operational management and evolution of IT solutions infrastructure.
You will be managing the current infrastructure whilst offering insight and improvements with technical and financial cost consideration.
It is essential that you have the ability to innovate and offer sound technical guidance to the team on new technologies and ways to improve.
Responsibilities

• 
  Managing the infrastructure components whilst warranting total availability and value.
• 
  Resolving stakeholder issues raised through ServiceNow in a time effective manner.
• 
  To undertake DR testing of critical systems and infrastructure.

Key skills

• 
  Full Understanding of VMWare technologies and ideally AWS. Virtualisation technologies, networking, resilient design, durability, serverless, financial controls and cloud technologies.
• 
  It would be desirable to have experience of working with AWS cloud-native technologies.
• 
  Windows Server experience Wintel platform administration.
• 
  MS SQL Database Administration.
• 
  Scripting / Automation programming knowledge/skills (PowerShell/Python/JSON/YAML or similar).
• 
  Strong understanding within the DevOps concepts and aspects.
• 
  Ability to interpret business requirements to deliver value solutions
• 
  Working experience of challenging conventional ideas and assumptions related to infrastructure, specifically relating to PaaS and 'serverless' architectures.
