My client, a leading producer of bespoke interior components with sites in Worcestershire and Europe are currently looking for a Health and Safety Manager to work proactively to promote a culture of safe working throughout the organisation.
Due to a period of strategic expansion you will be required to work regularly at their site in Europe on a biweekly basis initially starting on a 12-month fixed term contract basis with a view to a permanent position following a successful 12-month period.
Reporting directly to the HSE Manager you will be tasked with inspiring a positive attitude towards Health and Safety and delivering positive outcomes in line with current Health and Safety legislations, so you should have a natural focus on constantly keeping up to date with relevant legislative changes and the potential impact they could have on the business.
Coming from a proven background of successfully managing Health and Safety activities across multiple sites, you will be challenged with continually monitoring and improving the organizations Health and Safety Policy and making recommendations on how to ensure compliance across the business.
Solid experience in managing audit records and schedules will also be of paramount importance to evaluate the effectiveness of Health and Safety systems and procedures, so you will be able to have a constructive input towards the company's Integrated Management System.
With a minimum NEBOSH Diploma qualification, you will also possess excellent verbal and written communication skills to be able to operate effectively in a cross functional capacity with all levels of staff.
A working knowledge of Asbestos and chemical awareness will also be essential to be able to carry out your duties to the level required for this fantastic opportunity.
The successful Health and Safety Manager will receive a basic salary of £45,000 to £50,000 and will have the opportunity to work with complete autonomy with regular travel to one of the best cities in Europe.
