Gleeson Recruitment Group are seeking an immediate HR Advisor, to join a Professional Services organisation based in Birmingham.

This is a 9 Month Fixed-Term Contract, with hybrid remote working options available.

Within this role, you will partner and support managers in the implementation of people policy and practices, undertaking projects independently and as part of a team to develop the HR function. This is a key role within the team and the HR Advisor will use their knowledge and experience to support the team within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to strategic initiatives designed to cultivate an organisational culture that values learning, communicates and celebrates success and promotes a culture of leadership at all levels
  • Leads work stream(s) of activities within strategic projects, working with the wider team to achieve coherent strategic goals
  • Working closely with the Hiring Managers to ensure that all aspects of recruitment are progressed and completed in a timely and efficient manner
  • Manage the pre-onboarding & on boarding of new employees providing a seamless link from the recruitment process to the induction process
  • Manage the payroll and benefit administration process providing a link between HR, managers and the payroll provider
  • Contribute towards the administration of annual activity and projects including but not limited to; salary review; bonus targets and payments; performance management, benefit renewal and engagement
  • First point of contact for employee relations queries from managers
  • Work in partnership with managers on performance management, employee relations, resourcing, redundancy and management/ development
  • Ensure human resources matters are handled fairly and consistently in line with legal and company requirements
  • Support and manage grievance, disciplinary and capability investigations and hearings when they arise
  • Work closely with HR colleagues to monitor, review and update all policies in line with current legislation and best practice
  • Provide support to the junior members of the team in the co-ordination and completion of HR activities
  • Conduct regular HR reporting trackers on staff turnover/KPIs
  • Preparing regular and ad-hoc management information reports to support management activity
  • Undertake exit interviews, collate feedback and findings
  • To keep up to date with developments in employment legislation and human resources best practice, knowledge sharing within the team to ensure continuous development and improvement in the service offered

Key requirement for this role:

  • 5yrs+ experience of working in a similar role
  • Knowledge of UK employment law and practices
  • CIPD Accredited or working towards a qualification desirable
  • Competent in using Excel, Work and PowerPoint
  • Analytical and a natural problem-solver
  • Proven excellent customer service skills
  • At all times exercise the highest levels of confidentiality and discretion.
  • Take responsibility for quality of own work
  • Able to take initiative and ownership of issues, projects; is proactive, has a 'can-do' attitude
  • Understanding managing and closing of enquires
  • Accurate escalation and referral when required
