This leading and profitable manufacturer operating in a niche within the UK market is currently looking for a Site Health Safety and Environmental Manager to set and execute HSE / EH&S strategy and policies across their large scale manufacturing facility.
The successful EH&S Manager will join successful business with a loyal and growing customer base and are always focused on opportunities to improve and evolve their business. They are looking for a highly capable and influential HSE Manager to continue to advance their approach to HSE and to develop the culture and mindset of EH&S across the leadership team and shop floor alike.
The HSE Manager will report directly into one of the Site Directors, tasked with improving the adoption of HSE policies and procedures and providing support & guidance to the local management team in the facility in order to ensure successful compliance and development of the group and legal EH&S requirements.
The HSE Manager will have a successful career within a high-risk and safety critical engineering or manufacturing environment. Your skills and experience will include:
Track record of delivering measurable improvements in performance within HSE;
Highly capable communicator and influencer, able to build relationships to achieve the right outcome for the HSE function and the safety of the employees;
Energetic and enthusiastic in your approach to Health, Safety and the Environment;
Team player and effective cross-seller who develops relationships for the wider organisation.
A strategic mindset to HSE deployment and development but with an ability to be hands on where required and support and lead the HSE team on site and report into the group EH&S function.
Any exposure to a metals based, casting, forging or machining based environment would be a distinct advantage for this role.
Current NEBOSH and IOSH Certifications and audit experience would be a strong requirement for this position.
The successful HSE Manager will receive a basic salary of £50,000 to £65,000 plus a benefits package including a bonus and a strong company pension scheme and the opportunity of career development for the driven and motivated individual.
