Can you implement Health & Safety across a fast-paced Warehousing and Distribution operation who specialise in the food sector and distribute time critical items across the UK? We are looking to recruit a Health & Safety Manager with a salary of c£45,000 with additional benefits also.

Can you lead and develop Health and Safety good practice across this site in the UK to deliver a best-in-class level of Health & Safety for the organisation? This will be a highly visible and key role within the implementation of procedures across the site, as part of the senior management team onsite you will be aided and supported by a highly experienced site General Manager.

You will ensure the company is conforming to all aspects of Health & Safety leading implementation of new systems, methods and processes. This is a proactive role, ensuring that both the company and its employees are competently trained, educated and understand the relevant procedures to deliver a world class level of H&S across the site.

This role is based in Essex and the successful candidate will need to show flexibility and an ability to be a hands-on operator. Coming from a food, FMCG or 3PL background would be beneficial but not essential, the company would be willing to consider good candidates who have experience of site distribution backgrounds. What is essential is that the successful candidate has a good understanding of ISO9001 compliance and be NEBOSH accredited, if they also had HACCP level 3 then that would be an additional bonus. Best practice and legal compliance will be the daily tools of your trade and you will need to rally the support of the individual site team within the business to deliver your objectives.

Hands on systems and quality process skills coupled with a level of energy and determination to deliver against the companies targets and expectations will be key. This role will be highly autonomous so you will need to work independently and have an ability to drive for results daily. The salary bracket for the role is between £40,000 - £45,000 with car allowance and other additional benefits.
