With a key position in the global 3PL and Supply Chain sector and a footprint in almost all countries across the world, this leading Logistics organisation now requires the support of an experienced Health, Safety and Welfare Coordinator to support the Health and Safety Manager on all aspects of HS&E related topics and COVID-19 requirements and communications across the site.
Reporting to the UK HSE Manager, the role will involve a diverse portfolio of challenges to include;
Ownership and review of the Health and Safety and pandemic Risk Assessment.
Continually monitor government / HSE advice and advise senior and departmental managers on any updates.
Develop training and communication activities across the site.
Communicate externally with local authorities/appropriate bodies where required.
Conduct regular audits of all control measures relating to the COVID-19 Pandemic and coordinate action lists arising from pandemic related meetings.
Proactive monitoring of all areas of the business in relation to Health and Safety and pandemic control.
Coordinate employee safety and welfare initiatives.
Support all aspects of the site / Group HSE policies and initiatives.
The Health, Safety and Welfare Coordinator will be a key member of the team and so will require a strong mix of the following skills and experience;
IOSH Managing Safely is essential and NEBOSH is highly advantageous
Experience in Health and Safety Management
Accuracy and attention to detail
Proficient in the use of Microsoft office
Excellent Communication and problem solving skills
Experience of Covid-19 / pandemic management
