Gleeson Recruitment Group have just been briefed on a very exciting Head of Transformation role working with a well known business based in the Coventry. This role would be suited to an experienced change professional who has previous experience leading a large change function and has worked on a variety of different transformation projects.
You will manage portfolio of high value, high risk, high complexity programmes focused on delivering strategic objectives ensuring long-term delivery and programme effectiveness.
You will ensure current and future programmes are delivered in line with best practise programme/project management techniques appropriate to the type and scale of programmes and delivering the identified business benefit.
Responsibilities will include
- Providing exceptional leadership to a team of c. 80 capable and highly engaged change professions and line management
- Direct Line management of c.10 Programme Managers or equivalent
- Ensuring the team's plan is continually reviewed and enhanced in light of the evolving and that it is delivered in a fun and engaging way
- Managing a portfolio of multiple projects, ensuring their interdependencies, resourcing and any proposed changes which may affect project priorities are managed
- Monitoring the quality of project outputs to ensure strategic objectives are met
- Establishing effective working relationships with the team's key customers
- Working collaboratively with internal stakeholders to define an approach to create a roadmap for future development of products, processes and systems
- Designing, developing and critiquing proposed project plans based on sound judgement and analysis
- Listening for, uncovering and resolving potential conflicts or disagreements about project priorities
- Ensuring portfolio resources are appropriate to enable the necessary operational and strategic capability
Required Experience
- An experienced portfolio manager with a strong background in portfolio assurance, governance and methodology
- Demonstrated ability in delivering sustainable benefits and business change
- Experienced in strategic planning, including requirements definition and business case
- Experience of delivering strategic change programmes of over £10m
- Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong commercial focus and financially astute
- Experience in influencing senior leadership and gaining commitment to change and the business readiness activities needed to make it successful
