Head of Financial Reporting - Warwick - 75 - 85k & Bonus

Gleeson are supporting an International organisation in Warwick to recruit a new Head of Financial Reporting due to an internal promotion. The role will be responsible for internal and external reporting, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and the maintenance of appropriate financial controls across the business.

The organisation has seen significant change over the past 2 years, and with a new leadership team in place there is now a huge opportunity for an ambitious and hungry Accountant to join and support their continued growth in a fast paced environment. The ability to adapt to change and a real hunger to seek out improvements will be essential, and in return the Finance Director is willing to offer continuous development in the role alongside progression opportunities internally.

The day to day will include:

  • Preparation of monthly financial accounts, including monthly and quarterly reporting.
  • Preparation of statutory accounts for group and related companies.
  • Oversight and management of month end and year end processes including being the primary contact for all planning and coordination with external auditors.
  • Key contact for external audit processes, ensuring the audit process is carefully managed
  • Continous development and management of the financial accounting team
  • Working with the commercial team to ensure accurate financial information is produced.
  • Ensuring compliance with SOX internal controls
  • Working with the Commercial team to identify forthcoming business changes and ensure reporting and control requirements are addressed.

The right person for this role will be ACA or ACCA Qualified with previous experience leading a team, and a strong technical background. The ability to think on your feet and build effective relationships with site and department heads will be essential, combined with the a hunger to identify and implement new processes and drive trough change.
