My client, a private equity backed specialist requires a Head of Finance to work at their European Head Office. This is a super opportunity to work for a business that has enjoyed rapid growth since the pandemic and a change of private equity owner. This newly created role is responsible for managing the accounting team and overseeing all the activities of the accounting department. Duties include:

Leading the accounting team including year end audit
Developing, mentoring and supporting the accounting team, adding heads when necessary
Creating and enhancing accounting policies and procedures
Business partnering with other department heads
Working with auditors, group tax and tax accounting personnel
Responsible for year end, final accounts preparation and preparation of annual budgets
Working with the Finance Director on strategic projects including continuous improvement programs.

The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant with a demonstrable record in managing and mentoring staff. You will also have strong statutory reporting experience (US/UK/EU GAAP), good excel skills and able to communicate at all levels.

My client operates a 3/2 hybrid working policy.
