We are delighted to be supporting our Private Equity backed technology manufacturing client who seek to appoint a Head of Finance / Financial Controller.

In this key role you will work as part of the leadership team as the number one Finance lead on site. The business is looking to go through an exit in 3-4 years, providing an exciting opportunity for someone to be involved with this process.

You will be responsible for both the operational and strategy aspects of the Finance function with the brief is to improve the monthly Accounting processes, further enhance existing management information reporting and be responsible for the Finance function.

Tasks also include the following

Preparation of annual budgets for the business

Oversight of the preparation of annual statutory accounts for all group entities Supporting the board in assessing strategic development initiatives

Review, implementation and monitoring of financial controls and procedures
Day-to-day operation of all finance functions, including

Preparation of cashflow forecasting for the business and management of working
capital and cash.
Delivery of treasury functions and maintaining relationships with the bank
Preparation of monthly management accounts for the Directors
Supplier payments
Audit preparation

Suitable candidates for this role will be Qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA with a rounded finance background including financial control and commercial acumen and ideally with experience of working within a PE backed business.

You will need strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, including the ability to summarize key accounting and operational issues.

Due to the nature of the business and their client base you will be need to either be security cleared to at least SC level or have the capability to do so.

The client are offering a generous basic salary, discretionary bonus and other benefits with the opportunity to work on a hybrid model basis.
