Hybrid - Flexible

A leading banking group in South Birmingham is currently looking for a graphic designer to join their Design team and help with the Design of all their in-house material. This is an extremely varied role, where you can gain experience working on a wide range of projects, from social media marketing material to Pre-print designs of brochures and reports.

Given the wide range of work that you will be required to do, there are alot of skills required. skills in graphics are essential but skills in videography and photography as well as video and photo editing will be required also.

This role is perfect for an all round designer with experience of a wide range of skills and a hunger to learn more. You will need to be an out going and ambitious person with a great creative flair and the ability to work well with others.


  • Take briefings from key stakeholders and senior team members and brainstorm creative ideas in meetings, offering suggestions and solutions and collaborate with other team members
  • Work in close collaboration with Digital and UX Designers, as well as the Marketing and Communications team to design, create and artwork all official documents, such as;brochures, digital media, web banners, social media material, reports, and promotional material
  • Produce creative editable and impactful presentations for screen and print in PowerPoint
  • Create concepts and storyboards for video content, animations and digital advertising
  • Film, edit and create video content with a variety of senior stakeholders, branded animations, and promotional films, for use internally and externally, including for social media
  • Liaise with print suppliers to request print quotes, send artwork to print, check and approve proofs
  • Organising you own time and work effectively to strict deadlines

Key Skills

  • A recognised qualification in Graphic Design or related subject
  • Previous experience as a graphic designer, supported by a strong portfolio of recent work that demonstrates your skillset
  • Fluent in the full Adobe suite and a solid knowledge of Premiere Pro and After Effects
  • Knowledge of Google Web Designer would be advantageous
  • time management skills with the ability to juggle multiple briefs and deadlines when required
  • Excellent communication skills and able to build strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients
  • Adaptable and able to pick up new techniques when required
  • Proactive and able to use own initiative
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail a good understanding of the print process
  • Looks for improvement and is committed to achieving the highest standards in all activities
  • Willingness to listen to feedback and use it to improve
