My client, a manufacturing business based in Coleshill is looking for an Interim FP&A Manager to join them on a 12 month contract to cover maternity leave. The role will be reporting into the site Financial Controller and is a plant based role so will be very hands on and operational. As the Interim FP&A manager you will be responsible for all group financial requirements, from preparing financial forecasts to variance analysis. You will be supporting the Financial Controller in streamlining processes where possible to ensure more time for decision making.

The responsibilities of the FP&A Manager include:

  • Delivery of monthly and weekly reporting requirements.
  • Prepare monthly financial forecasts and annual plans (both P&L and balance sheet)
  • Provide support to internal stakeholders to ensure budgets are not exceeded
  • Knowledge of inventory & cost accounting to provide support to both the finance and manufacturing teams
  • Assist the finance team to ensure timely close of month end activities
  • Manage the internal cost reduction program
  • Assist in the external audit and ensure external audit is delivered to the agreed timetable and requirements
  • Add value by challenging, designing, and streamlining existing processes
  • Manage ad-hoc group queries

The successful candidate must have the following skillset:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or equivalent
  • Manufacturing experience desirable
  • Strong Excel and modelling skills
  • Knowledge of US GAAP & UK GAAP
  • Ability to understand and manage cost/inventory accounting.
  • Preparation of financial forecasts.
  • Knowledge of internal control processes and ability to design processes to mitigate financial and business risks.
