Our client is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Financial Reporting Accountant to join their finance team. As a Financial Reporting Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and effective communication of financial information to both internal and external stakeholders.

  • Prepare financial statements, reports, and disclosures in compliance with relevant accounting standards (IFRS, US GAAP, etc.)
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to gather and analyse financial data for reporting purposes.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with auditors during the external audit process.
  • Participate in the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and processes.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and industry best practices.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Professional accounting qualification (ACCA, ACA) is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Reporting Accountant or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in financial reporting software and advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
