Gleeson Recruitment Group are working with a high-growth business in the heart of the Black Country, who are a market leader within the property sector. They are looking to recruit a Financial Controller for one of their business units, reporting into the Finance Director and managing a team of 2, with the support of a much larger group Finance team.

You will have responsibility for ensuring the timely and accurate reporting of their monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts, whilst ensuring all tax requirements are adhered to.

Key responsibilities for this Financial Controller position:

• The reviewal of Management Accounts on a monthly and quarterly basis
• Overseeing the production of reports for presentation to shareholders and banks
• The preparation of cashflow and profit forecasts
• Working closely with the Financial Accountant in helping to prepare the annual audited statutory accounts and liaising with the auditors
• You will be responsible for the preparation of Consolidated statutory accounts
• The preparation of half year updates and annual budgets

Key requirements for this Financial Controller position:

• Recognised accountancy qualification (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) is required
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and regulations
• Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes (budgeting, financial closure, reporting etc.)
• Understanding of data analysis and forecasting
• Global outlook and exposure to different challenges, cultures and ways of working
• The ability to meet tight deadlines and cope with managing multiple tasks and projects at the same time
