Gleeson Finance are delighted to be working in an exclusive partnership with this SME business in Downham Market, to recruit a qualified Financial Controller. Reporting into the Managing Director, this is a newly created hybrid role between finance and IT.

This is a hands-on finance position, incorporating management accounts, daily and weekly reporting, profit/loss, cashflow and budgets and forecasts. As a member of a Senior Management Team, you will provide support and information to the company's auditors in the preparation of statutory accounts and corporation tax returns, full nominal ledger management and monthly reconciliations for all balance sheet accounts. You will oversee the maintenance records of sales orders received, VAT returns, preparation and reconcile the Company's weekly and monthly payroll and submission of the RTI return to HMRC. You will also manage and develop 1 Accounts Assistant.

You will also be responsible for the integration of IT systems and take a lead in rolling out the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) and other platforms such as order book pipelines, which are core to the development of the business.

In order to be considered, you will be a qualified Accountant (CIMA / ACA or ACCA), with experience in a finance leadership role, showing a track record of ability to implement high standards of financial control and report financial information in a timely and accurate manner. Experience of reviewing internal processes and implementing change are essential, and it is advantageous if you have industry experience in services, or within a business who manages a high number of contracts.

In return, you will receive a full time equivalent salary of up to £50,000, flexible hours and the opportunity for part remote working if required. You will also receive a discretionary bonus, health-care plan, pension and lifestyle benefits.
