This is a newly created Financial Analyst role, working at their Head Office in Oxford, and very much supported by 4 other UK office sites.This is a unique opportunity to join an ambitious finance team which is on a long-term transformational journey to create an outstanding, highly reputable finance function to commercially support the business. You will be able to develop and implement best-in-class financial analysis and commercial value decision support to the group and its businesses.

This role will work closely with the Commercial Finance Team (of 7, and an additional wider finance team of 14) and role role will be varied, career-progressive and your duties will include:

• Commercial analysis and financial decisions - including strategic planning, budgeting and forecasting
• Consolidating and analysing financial data - budgets, income forecasts etc, taking into account all business goals and financials
• Providing creative alternatives and recommendations to grow revenue, reduce costs, improve cash-flow and overall financial performance
• Assembling and summarising data to structure high level reports on financial status and risks
• Support the development and maintenance of the analytics framework and performance tracking tools which support the effective implementation of commercial strategies.
• Develop financial models, conduct bench marking and process analysis
• Drive process improvement and policy development initiatives that impact the finance function
• Assist with implementation, collection and analysis of user & customer data for commercial finance support
• Analyse the sales data and analysis for all existing and new products & services
• Be responsible for relevant areas of key commercial and financial performance reporting which will provide a review, challenge and interpretation of all material variances against the plan, budgets and forecasts
• Define, analyse and interpret commercial and financial management information and results, determining and recommending courses of action to drive value and manage and improve product, service, business unit, and Group financial performance
• Continue to build strong relationships with senior business management The successful Financial Analyst profile is likely to include:

• Proven financial accounting and financial analysis experience will be ideal
• Part Qualified or Finalist CIMA/ACCA or Newly Qualified Accountant is desirable
• Highly proficient in spreadsheets, databases, MS Office and financial software applications
• Comprehensive technical knowledge of key accounting standards and policies including IFRS and UK GAAP as well as regulatory reporting experience.
• Be able to offer a commercial, strategic background and be analytically minded
