Financial Accounting Manager: Coleshill: £50,000-£60,000 + 5k Car

Gleeson Recruitment Group have been exclusively engaged by an excellent and high achieving business based in Coleshill. This Financial Accounting Manager role is the perfect opportunity to join a department that is at the heart of the continued growth of this business

The Financial Accounting Manager is responsible for developing, streamlining, documenting and embedding updated financial processes to eliminate and mitigate process risk. Leading the development and execution of those processes to maximise operational efficiency and effectiveness and ensuring that internal and external reporting requirements are met. This includes taking ownership and responsibility for the statutory audit process.

The Financial Accounting Manager will lead a team of approximately 13, with three direct reports, to deliver the end to end Financial Reporting processes.

Responsibilities: Financial Accounting Manager: Coleshill

  • Managing and developing the team supporting a culture of continuous improvement
  • Delivery of plc reporting requirements including the delivery of plc annual and interim financial reporting including provision of financial information to the external auditors
  • Preparation of key accounting judgement papers for external auditors and the Audit Committee
  • Manage the external audit process
  • Responsible for all tax compliance matters co-ordinating and liaising with the Company's external tax advisors
  • UK subsidiary statutory accounts under FRS 101
  • Resolution of issues identified during monthly management accounts reviews, including identification tracking of potential issues or exposures
  • Managing and developing the team supporting a culture of continuous improvement
  • Responsible for interpreting (and implementing where applicable) International Accounting standards and writing accounting judgement papers in support of Company specific accounting treatments.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to enhance operational efficiency through best practice
  • Cash flow management including foreign currency forecasting and purchasing
  • Capital expenditure reporting and analysis

Qualifications & Experience

  • Fully qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA,)
  • Experience of IFRS and external reporting requirements
  • Experience and knowledge in dealing with and concluding on technical accounting queries
  • Computer literate, with good financial modelling/spreadsheet skills.
  • Self-confident with strong interpersonal skills, able to communicate at all levels within the organisation as well as with external parties.
