Financial/Cost Analyst
Based in: London - near Waterloo - and hybrid working (2 days in the office, 3 at home)

Salary: £45k - £50k, depending on experience

Benefits: 25 days holiday, 37 hour working week, pension, health-care, study support if needed, and various other superb benefits

This is a newly created Financial/Cost Analyst role and ideally you will have worked in a similar role and ideally from within a similar Cyber Security / SAAS / Telecomms business previously and our client is seeking a diligent finance professional to drive value through the supply chain of the business. Covering the most material cost lines within the P&L this role will work closely between finance & billing to ensure the business is efficient in its supplier management.

Key responsibilities will include :

  • Reviewing various supplier costs against orders to reconcile material costs to the business and identify savings to be made wherever needed
  • Help implement a best in class process for ensuring that customer cease notifications work harmoniously with supplier charges
  • Supporting the ininnovation of significant customer accounts where acquisitions have suppliers already within the supply chain
  • Seeking value and ensuring commercial implications of any changes are understood and challenges met and issues resolved
  • Support the broader finance team members in the production of a "data warehouse", supporting the validation of costs included within the warehouse to ensure KPIs supporting key business decisions are accurate and reliable
  • Provide ad hoc support to the Management Accounts team at month end to support variance analysis within the cost base

Experience and Qualifications preferred

  • Commercially focussed, highly engaging individuals are sought after for this role
  • Demonstrative experience of driving cost savings through reconciliation work
  • Experience of working with "big data" - manipulating information to ensure it supports a robust process
  • A thoroughly organised and proactive individual
  • Pragmatic, non-hierarchical and 'hands on' approach; enjoys rolling up their sleeves
  • A robust attitude to work, capable of handling conversations with senior stakeholders to drive forward required actions
  • Strong problem solving skills and the ability to deal with - and quickly make decisions using - incomplete sets of data.
  • Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence to understand the organisation as it is and take it on a journey without losing its positive values.

You will be a detail orientated individual who will thrive on delivering business savings. Working across various teams this role will suit an individual who is able to translate finance to non-finance individuals and work harmoniously with senior and junior individuals alike.
