Our client sits within in a global media / comms sector and based in central London.

This is a newly created Finance Manager role reporting to the Senior Controller, you will also work closely with the CFO and wider leadership team.to support the continued worldwide growth.

The role:

Working within a fast paced environment and managing a small team, this is a broad reporting role to include the maintenance of the GL activity and month end close.

Supporting the wider business, this will include general ledger activity, related reconciliations and month-end close.

Key objectives:

  • Manage a team of two accountants
  • Responsible for the maintenance of the general ledger
  • Recording journal entries and other financial transactions
  • Reconcile the company's bank and credit cards accounts
  • Responsible for month-end balance sheet reconciliation
  • Apply correct territory revenue recognition rules
  • Manage and ensure deferred revenue balances are accurate
  • Provide international standardisation of financial transactions
  • Assist the Controller in completing month-end close in an accurate and timely manner
  • Provide and support the Controller in developing and maintaining the accounting systems (new implementation)
  • Other ad hoc projects

Skills and Experiences:

  • Qualified accountant with existing man-management experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of IFRS
  • Hands on leadership / International experience and operational month-end responsibility
  • Prior experience of revenue recognition rules
  • An effective communicator
  • Highly organized with an ability to drive projects to completion independently with a strong attention to detail
  • Proven data analysis skills on the financial results and position to understand the commercial impact of the business
