Finance Manager (IFRS)

Gleeson Recruitment Group are proudly supporting one of the UKs most prominent luxury automotive manufacturing brands as they seek to add a Finance Manager to their technical accounting team based in the Warwickshire region.

The business in question has a proven track record of developing high performing exceptional talent, particularly in finance with not only several of the organisations but several of the West Midlands Finance leaders starting their industry career in this team after taking their first step out of practice as Senior Managers.

This is a challenging role focusing on technical accounting judgements, financial reporting processes improvement and controls excellence, all within a complex global business environment that is embracing digital transformation. The role is a critical role for ensuring the quality, consistency and compliance of the firm's financial accounting and reporting associated with various business functions (including Purchasing and Legal).

Responsibilities will include (but not will not be limited to):

  • Partnering the relevant function (and sub-functions) to ensure appropriate accounting of complex matters
  • Providing the relevant content and information into the Audit Committee and Disclosure Committee papers.
  • Working alongside the Group Reporting team to ensure appropriate disclosure of the relevant accounting matters in the Group's Financial Statements.
  • Proactively maintain and manage a log of technical accounting matters associated with the various functions.
  • Proactively engage the auditors working on accounting matters affecting the Functions
  • Ensuring appropriate SOx framework is considered in all accounting matters and accounting advice to the function considers control implications.
  • Taking on additional ad-hoc project related responsibilities where necessary to provide appropriate IFRS guidance to the broader business and also into the Group Reporting team
