Gleeson are currently working with a superb manufacturing business based in Cannock who are recruiting for a Finance Manager to join them on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will ideally be a qualified accountant (ACA,ACCA,CIMA) with experience of working in a manufacturing business and have managed a small team.

Responsibilities: Finance Manager: Cannock: £40,000-£45,000

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for all areas of Operating and Capital expenditure
  • Reporting into the offsite Business Area Controller providing a monthly commentary on business performance
  • Support MD with budget management and periodic reforecasting
  • Develop, deliver and maintain robust accounting systems & processes to ensure the integrity of day to day accounting
  • People management of a small team of Credit Controller and Accounts Payable Assistant
  • Preparation of annual accounts including reconciliation and year end entries, working to tight deadlines and supporting external auditor
  • Managing monthly cash flow
  • Support senior management by identifying key issues and suggesting solutions
  • Identify system reports and improvements of controls including preparation of monthly KPI's
  • Producing and reconciling VAT statement

Qualifications: Finance Manager: Cannock: £40,000-£45,000

  • CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified with relevant manufacturing experience. Part qualified would be considered
  • Strong organisational skills and passion for meeting deadlines
  • IT literate
  • Have an analytical mind set
  • Strong communicator with the ability to present at a senior level
  • Advanced Excel skills and good systems knowledge (Navision preferable)
  • Team Management experience preferable but not essential
