Finance Manager: Birmingham: £55,000 + Benefits

Gleeson Recruitment Group are partnering an energy business who have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Manager reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, to join their growing team. This role is new to the business, which makes this a really exciting time to join the team! This role requires a qualified accountant (ACCA,ACA,CIMA)

Key Responsibilities: Finance Manager: Birmingham

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for all areas of Operating and Capital expenditure
  • Manage the monthly payroll process across the group, including all statutory reporting
  • Management and effective close of the month end process ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Prepare insightful P&L and Balance sheet analysis and commentary
  • Prepare monthly project reviews for specific areas of the business or areas of focus
  • Oversee budget management and periodic reforecasting
  • Develop, deliver and maintain robust accounting systems & processes to ensure the integrity of day to day accounting
  • Work collaboratively with the wider finance team to support the annual Audit and prepare inputs for the production of the Statutory Accounts
  • People management of a small team of Finance Analysts and Assistant Accountants


Requirements

  • CIMA/ACA/ACCA qualified with a minimum of 2 years post qualification experience
  • Experience of managing payroll processes
  • Team Management experience, ability to demonstrate development and nurturing of team
  • Technical and Commercial acumen
  • Experience of transforming manual processes to automated
  • Can drive efficiency
  • Highly IT literate
  • Analytical mind-set
  • Strong organisational skills and passion for meeting deadlines
  • Have an analytical mind set
