Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently partnering with a market leading business in Newark in search of a Finance Manager. This position is ideal for someone with previous management experience who likes to be very "hands on". This is a new position that offers great progression opportunities as well as excellent exposure to unique and exciting projects to the Midlands region. This is an exciting position that will allow the successful individual to progress later in their career and have substantial influence of the company's future strategy. They require an ambitious, commercially-minded accountant/analyst to join their business to support across a selection of functions.

The Role

As Finance Manager you will report into the head of the department and will be responsible for the following:

  • Manage the production of accurate and timely management accounts
  • Line manage the soon to be appointed Finance Business Partner in providing commercial insight to the Group, including preparing the Forecast/budget model
  • Line Manage the credit control manager and ensure timely collection of debtors and ensure any issues raised to operational management on a timely basis
  • Line Manage the Payroll Manager and ensure the effective running of that department
  • Produce the Consolidation model for the Board Pack including P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow statements

The Requirements

The ideal candidate for this role may have already acted as a Finance Manager previously:

  • Capable of interpreting and presenting financial information to different audiences
  • Must be able to work both as part of a team and independently
  • Good organisation and time management skills are essential to this role
  • Ability to managed multiple tasks and stakeholders during busy periods
  • CIMA/ACCA qualified
