About the Position

This is a new and high-profile Finance Director (FD) appointment in the West Midlands, reporting to the UK MD and Regional CFO. You will sit on the Board of Directors with responsibility for Finance, Procurement and Compliance and play a key role in the ongoing change and transformation of the business.

As FD, you will provide effective financial and business leadership, to continue to drive performance and deliver success.

The FD will support the ongoing change journey, by leading and developing a high performing finance team, as well as working collaboratively across the group.

The FD role is also key to ensuring robust financial controls are in place, and performance reporting available on a timely basis, supported by clear messaging and interpretation to drive further value add activity. The FD will need to contribute to the overall leadership of this UK business and support in making appropriate strategic choices to deliver the profitable growth targets for this expanding business.

The Successful Applicant

For this Finance Director opportunity in the West Midlands, and as a member of the Board of Directors for the UK business, successful candidates must have/ be:

A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven experience in a senior finance role where significant change, transformation and improvement of business performance has been at the core of your role. Experience in change management in a growing/ transforming organisation will be important

Previous experience in a supply chain logistics environment or manufacturing group is essential

An experienced, well-rounded Finance Director ideally within a multinational group structure

Strong business partnering skills; the ability to provide strategic, analytical, and operational support to the Board

The role requires a strong relationship builder with personal credibility, and high impact communication and presentation skills, who can influence at all levels

A strong commercial acumen and the ability to contribute to strategic discussions in pursuit of the growth ambitions of the business

A demonstrable track record of defining effective finance strategy and leading teams to deliver operationally, with the versatility to switch between strategic overview and leadership to hands on delivery

An easy ability to inspire a team with a passion for excellence in pursuit of business growth and success
