Gleeson Finance are delighted to be working in an exclusive basis with this SME in Chipping Campden, to recruit a Finance Director into this established, dynamic business. Reporting into the Managing Director, you will provide a key contribution to the financial strategy of the business with responsibility for all financial control systems, financial accounting, reporting and control systems within the business; maintaining, identifying and recommending operational efficiencies and improvements to the company's systems, working practices and procedures, as well as delivering key MI, & liaising with HMRC in relation to all taxation affairs. You will lead and work closely alongside a small accounts administration team for all day to day financial activities.

You will have a hands on approach but, as a member of the Senior Manager Team, must also be a critical thinker and be both commercially and strategically minded. Key responsibilities include, preparation of month end accounts, profit & loss statement, balance sheet, financial commentary and cashflow statements. You will also prepare the tax computations & regulatory compliance, forecasts & budgets, product pricing, margin analysis and oversee the transactional team.

You will provide commercial support and advice on special projects including capex projects, cost accounting initiatives, management of foreign currency, forward purchases, and hedging and the ERP integration project.

In order to be considered, you will hold a professional accountancy qualification or equivalent, up to date knowledge of accounting regulations and compliance issues, experience of managing and motivating staff within a small accounts department, able to challenge the status quo and drive through changes by influence and strong communication skills, with a sound understanding of commercial business issues as well as financial issues.
