Finance Business Partner

Job description:

My client a market leader in their industry sector within the UK who also have operations Internationally require an experienced Finance Business Partner to undertake an integral role in the Sales & Operations Finance team to help provide strong finance business partner support to its Sales and Operations functions. You will enjoy a high-profile role within the business having regular interaction with key stakeholders across the business including Financial Controllers, Sales Directors and the Finance Director for the business unit.

You will report into the Head of Finance, Sales & Operations and undertake the following responsibilities:

Management Accounting:

  • Financial accountability for the division's sales cost base
  • Accountable for ensuring a robust monthly financial close for the sales cost centres
  • Accountable for ensuring a robust forecast submitted for Sales costs along with associated risks & opportunities

Reporting:

  • Accountable for the production of the monthly sales reporting pack
  • Work with the sales leads and wider business to identify and implement ongoing reporting enhancements

Business Partnering:

  • Work with the sales leaders to ensure performance is understood
  • Provide timely, insightful and actionable financial analysis with a view to influencing sales activity
  • Ensure Sales and Finance teams have an understanding of the impact of pipeline on orderbook and in-year revenue
  • Ad-Hoc analysis as required

Required skills/experience:

  • You will be a Qualified Accountant or nearing the end of your professional qualification
  • You should possess a proven track record of effective business partnering
  • Strong budgeting & Forecasting experience is required
  • Ideally you will have an understanding of IFRS 15
  • Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively
  • Advanced Excel skills (required)
  • You will possess strong communication skills
  • Experience gained in the Telecommunications industry could be an advantage but not essential

This role could be based in London/Reigate or Basingstoke with travel required across these sites on an ad-hoc basis.
