Gleeson Recruitment Group are proud to be supporting the search for a Finance Business Partner to join our client in the Health/Housing sector. This PE backed business provides housing and support for people with learning disabilities, enduring mental ill health, autism and associated complex behavioural needs. The business has grown over the last few years, both organically and via acquisition, and is now in a position where they need to add a Business Partner to the fold to effectively keep up to date with the various sites around the region. You'll join a busy finance team of 14 people and help bridge the gap between the Group function and the individual sites.

This role requires an experienced, qualified accountant who is interested in a business facing role, with a proactive approach and high attention to detail. You'll work autonomously to lead the finance team's commercial interaction with the key decision makers in the business. You'll be confident and articulate and be able to talk finance to non-financial stakeholders at all levels - from team members to CEO.

You'll be forging strong connections with the wider business including Operational teams and executives as well as within the head office function. Day to day you can expect to:

  • Travel between Service Centres and partner with operational teams
  • Work with Area Managers to ensure group reporting runs smoothly
  • Provide regular, real-time updates to the Group FC and the team of Management Accountants
  • Assist with the budgeting and forecasting for individual service centres and the group function
  • Partner with Operations Directors through strong, effective communication

The right person for this role will be

  • CIMA, ACCA or ACA qualified
  • Very strong excel knowledge
  • Energetic
  • Keen to learn
  • A strong communicator
  • An experienced FBP or Senior MA
  • Able to travel on a regular basis between sites
  • Great at bridging gaps in knowledge
  • Able to work autonomously and at pace
