Gleeson Recruitment Group are currently supporting a fast paced, multi-location business in the retail industry in looking for a commercially astute, experienced finance business partner. The company in question are growing year on year and in a strong, profitable position to be able to support a new member of the team up to speed quickly.

The company we are supporting have an interesting product, that is not your usual retail offering, and have a supportive Financial Director who will be a fantastic mentor for the new person into this newly vacant position.

Based on the border of Birmingham and Staffordshire, you'll be within commuting distance of several big hubs in the region and with on-site parking getting to work will not be a headache. You'll also be able to work from home 2 or 3 days a week.

FBP Responsibilities:

  • Producing and delivering monthly management accounts
  • Provision of commentary & variance analysis
  • Postings to the General ledger and transaction review of cost centres
  • Month end balance sheet reconciliation
  • Support in the preparation of the annual audit
  • Focus on continuous improvement and efficiencies
  • Stakeholder management skills across the business
  • Data analysis to review and recommend on commercials
  • Financial planning, budgeting and forecasting

The ideal candidate:

  • CIMA, ACCA or similar industry qualification
  • Proven track record of Business Partnering within a multi-site environment
  • A retail or manufacturing background would be preferred
  • Experience with Navision and Excel
  • Commercially astute with great communication skills
  • Effective partnering at Directorship level
  • Experience reporting to board desirable
