Gleeson Recruitment Group are on the lookout for talented Finance Analysts to join a manufacturing giant based in Wolverhampton. The chosen individual will be welcomed into an innovative and inspiring environment where success and ambition are rewarded and recognised. Depending on experience the Finance Analyst can expect a salary up to £45,000 per annum.
The primary purpose of the role is to analyse large volumes of complex data, identifying anomalies and trends, and building strong relationships with multiple stakeholders across the business. The Finance Analyst will act as a Business Partner, taking full ownership of key client accounts.
You will be working closely with the regional Finance Director, assisting with planning and forecasting and looking at historic data.
It will be key for this role to form a strong relationship between Region and the reporting hub, to ensure the Region aligns with group accounting policy and deadlines, whilst also servicing the needs of the operation on the ground. The role location is therefore split, with the opportunity to also work from home.
- There will be a focus on FP&A activity in region, including build cost analysis, sales performance, completion profile reviews, trend analysis, variance analysis and re-forecasting. This is in addition to the standard management accounting month end reporting processes, which is overseen by the Hub.
- Requirement to work in Regions with Quantity Surveyors to understand build cost movements.
- Production of reports based on individual site performance - ability to cut through this information to clearly articulate these commentaries every month.
- Support in preparing investment packs for when procuring new land
- A confidence and willingness around new IT systems is a must. As a result the candidate will need a detail focused mindset who is tenacious and able to reconcile positions.
- Confident enough to challenge assumptions and spot trends.
- Some construction/real estate experience desirable but not essential
- Other examples of normal monthly activity are:
- Cashflow reviews
- P&L reforecasting
- Overhead variance analysis
- Balance Sheet Reconciliations
- Bank Reconciliations
- Rate Card Reviews
- Intercompany posting reviews
Essential skill requirements:
- Need to have worked within an analytical role
- Previous experience working in finance within the manufacturing industry (desirable) / complex reporting
- Working toward completing ACCA/ CIMA
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
