My client is a not for profit who are looking for a Finance Specialist to join their team in Birmingham. This role requires a degree of professional curiosity to support in the planning, design, and implementation of change through process improvement - it will the require the post-holder to support individuals in the roll out of new process. You will have a track record of improving processes and be able to give examples of demonstrable situations where you have added value, with tangible outcomes.

The Role
As Finance Specialist you will be responsible for the following:
- Analyse Finance processes and systems to identify areas for improvement, working with the Senior Finance Analyst on developing and implementing solutions that streamline operations and increase efficiency
- Collaborate with stakeholders across the organisation to assess current processes and identify opportunities for automation or other improvements that will reduce manual work
- Document Finance systems and processes, creating manuals and FAQs to ensure stakeholders have access to the information they need to perform their jobs effectively
- Helping to create and deliver training programs for both Finance and non-Finance stakeholders to improve their understanding of Finance systems, processes, and reporting tools
- Ensure compliance with relevant financial regulations and standards
- Work with the Senior Finance Analyst to provide regular updates and progress reports on process improvement initiatives and their impact on the business
- Collaborate with other teams, such as IT and Operations, to ensure that Finance systems and processes are integrated and aligned with the Business Strategic Framework
The Requirements
The ideal candidate for this role will have the following:
- Qualified chartered accountant ACCA, ICAEW, CIMA
- Able to prioritise and organise
- Good communicator
- Ability to lead where required on project work
- Proven experience in analysing and interpreting financial information
