Our client is a leading law firm with over 140 years of experience in providing high-quality legal services to individuals and businesses across the UK. They are currently seeking a Director to join our Family team.
As a Director in the Family team, you will be responsible for managing a team of lawyers and providing expert legal advice to clients on a range of family law matters, with a particular focus on divorce and matrimonial issues. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing a team of lawyers and support staff, including overseeing workload and providing mentoring and guidance to junior team members
  • Providing expert legal advice and representation to clients on a range of family law matters, including divorce and matrimonial issues, child custody and access, and financial settlements
  • Negotiating settlements and agreements on behalf of clients, and representing them in court where necessary
  • Developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients, and acting as the primary point of contact for all legal matters relating to their case
  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in family law legislation and case law, and sharing knowledge and expertise with the wider team


Requirements:

  • A qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 8 years' PQE in family law, with a particular focus on divorce and matrimonial issues
  • A track record of successfully managing a team of lawyers and support staff
  • A strong understanding of family law legislation and case law, and the ability to apply this knowledge to complex legal issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
  • The ability to work well under pressure, and to manage competing priorities effectively
