Facilities Manager - London - Competitive Salary plus benefits

We are working with a trendy design company delivering luxury and bespoke pieces by the best designers and craftsmen in Britain. My client is seeking a Facilities Manager with around 2-3 years experience working in a warehouse or similar role to manage the facilities and maintenance of their workshops, warehouses and offices in London. Although experience is essential, it is also key that the successful candidate is a good cultural fit for the company.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the operation and maintenance of building systems and services that support the warehouses, offices, and workshops - report any problems major repairs or improvements
  • Dealing with all contractors
  • Ensuring compliance with all health and safety legislation and promote and drive this within the business
  • Managing all Health & Safety requirements, main contact for our H&S suppliers
  • Ensure housekeeping standards are high level and maintained
  • Managing all aspects of security, including fire and intruder alarms, staff security
  • Approving all site related invoices & query where required
  • Point of contact for facilities providers, including gas and electricity readings, photocopiers, IT and broadband providers, EE mobile phones contracts and pest control

Successful Candidate:

  • In-depth knowledge of health, safety and environmental Legislation, Regulation and Guidance
  • Retail experience is desirable
  • Confident dealing with stakeholders at all levels
  • Proactive approach
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to quickly and thoroughly assess issues
  • Able to work on multi operations within the warehouse
