Our client, a leading utilities business, is looking to recruit an experienced External Communications Manager onto the team.

The talented individual will lead the innovative external communications strategy during an exciting time of evolution for the business. This is a hands-on role, operating across various communication channels and will play a vital role in the B2C customer and corporate communications.

This role will have management responsibilities for 3 direct reports.

The External Communications Manager will:

Lead on communication plans and campaigns, and all multimedia materials
Engage and educate customers and local communities
Assist our community and education teams with effective communication strategies
Position the business as an innovative industry leader, providing recommendations for ongoing communication plans
Collaborate with the PR team
Act as the employer brand champion
Crisis communications

The External Communications Manager will have:

Experience in a B2C communications environment
Management experience
Experience from another regulated industry
Excellent copywriting skills
Experience within media relations and PR
Experience leading communications plans and campaigns
