European Sales Manager - Aerospace and Industrial - Birmingham
Would you like to take the Sales and New Business lead on all aspects of the UK and European customer base for a leading supplier into the global Aerospace and Industrial manufacturing sector? This is a truly international role with exposure at all levels within the business and at the customer base and carries with it genuine career progression within a global multi-billion dollar organisation.
Due to year on year growth within this high performing and successful team of over 40 individuals Europe wide, they now require the appointment of a proven European Sales Manager who can focus and direct sales on both UK and European customers across both the end user manufacturing and distributor customer base.
As Sales Manager, you will support regional sales targets, working closely with the internal sales teams to manage key account relationships with senior managers and procurement teams, to protect and grow market share sales at major UK and European accounts. You will be able to provide regular updates on the competitive position at these customers and identify what opportunities exist and what requirements are needed to grow the business at these accounts. You will be required to create and win incremental sales opportunities at OEM's and distribution customers and ensure these accounts are visited as required, and regular senior level reviews (ideally quarterly) are completed while always trying to identify and develop new target customers in UK Aerospace, Defence, Industrial, Marine and other markets.
You will be the key sales and commercial link with production, customer sales teams and product management teams to optimise commercial returns and customer service levels while providing local assistance in account management, including support to production and logistics and credit control as well as working with the internal sales team.
You will be a proven commercial leader, able to manage, nurture and develop existing relationships while seeking out and developing new business across all available channels within both the UK and Europe. Proven experience within the Aerospace, Automotive, Defence or Industrial metals, machining, forging or casting sectors will be an ideal grounding for this role and give you the network and technical understanding to deliver against the demands of the position.
The ideal individual will be able to understand complex supply chains, and present product capabilities, and identify opportunities to supply the businesses product range and you will need to be able to understand and draft complex contracts including engineering, commercial and financial documents. This position will come with 80% travel across the UK and Europe and so this is an essential requirement for the post holder.
