EMEA / APAC Accountant

Position Summary:

The EMEA / APAC Accountant is an international role responsible for supporting the monthly and annual accounting and financial reporting activities of multiple entities.

Essential Duties & responsibilities

  • Responsible for the monthly management results for assigned international entities including and not limited to: preparation and recording of journal entries relating to monthly payrolls, lease schedules, bank movement, inter-company recharges, fixed assets, accruals and prepayments etc;
  • Identification of key monthly flux variances and participation in monthly results calls;
  • Preparation of monthly balance sheet reconciliations for assigned entities providing clear, well-supported analysis of reconciling items;
  • Work with external advisors for outsourced entities to manage delivery of their monthly schedules; review and record their monthly TB upload journals;
  • Preparation/review of annual US GAAP to local GAAP TB conversion files for assigned entities;
  • Support the annual audits of assigned entities; review annual statutory financial statements and drive through to completion;
  • Preparation of quarterly cost-plus calculations and international intercompany invoices;
  • Preparation of quarterly and annual corporate schedules;
  • Support preparation of indirect taxes for assigned entities and review VAT Returns provided by external advisors;
  • Support payroll tax declarations for assigned entities prepared by external advisors;
  • Ensure all monthly and statutory reporting deadlines are met on a timely basis;
  • Work collaboratively in an international and multi-cultural environment;
  • Support the International Accounting Manager with ad-hoc projects and analysis as required.

Education Requirements:

Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or equivalent

Experience Requirements:

  • Fully qualify accountant ideally with accounting and reporting experience in an international technology company;
  • Open as 1st commercial move from Practice
  • Experience of working with external advisors and auditors in an international environment;
  • Sound understanding of multi-currency accounting;
  • Proven ability of managing multiple simultaneous projects with internal and external stakeholders;
  • US GAAP, IFRS, SOX experience beneficial;
  • Autonomous and able to work remotely if required in a multicultural environment with limited supervision
  • Oracle preferred.
