GRG Executive Search has been retained by a global manufacturing and engineering business to recruit an experienced Global Operational Finance Director. Reporting to the CFO and supporting the strategic development of the organisation my client is seeking a Finance Director with a strong track record of operational and commercial financial delivery. This is an outstanding opportunity to join a highly entrepreneurial business currently going through an exciting period of national and international development.
This business operates in a high growth but challenging market at the cutting edge of new technology and is a global leader in its field. From its Midlands-based head office, the Finance Director will lead and develop a team of local finance director based in different international locations globally, with a view to ensuring that the senior leadership team is fit for purpose and able to support the growth of the organisation.
As Divisional Finance Director you will be responsible for delivering the leading all accounting and control functions. Ensures business financial statements fairly reflect the performance and position of the business, making improvements to revenue recognition, inventory control and costing processes.
The role will develop procedures and provide direction for the strategic planning, annual budget and monthly financial forecast processes, including integrated P&L, balance sheet and cash flow forecast model.
Develop a Monthly performance review and communication process and assist the Divisional MD to manage the business to achieve performance commitments.
Provide key management information and analysis to make informed business decisions and to help drive business performance improvement. Drive performance improvement through use of key performance indicators.
As a Strategic Partner to the operational board team the role will lead the input on all key commercial decisions - pricing, sourcing and capital expenditure. The Finance Director will also lead financial input on new ventures, including M&A activity, providing strategic analysis to stimulate strategic actions and ensuring rigorous capex management processes are in place.
The successful candidate will develop vision for future finance organisation, identifying and implement changes required in people, process and systems to achieve the strategic vision for future growth.
The successful individual will have a strong track-record delivering strong financial management and control whilst driving the commercial agenda of the business, supporting delivery of group growth targets and partnering closely with the Managing Director.
You will be a qualified accountant with exposure to delivering strategic change ideally within a corporate finance/private equity backed environment. IPO experience could be an advantage.
