My client, a market leading retail business based in the Midlands, is looking to recruit a Digital Trading Manager. A market leader, my client is experiencing a period of sustained online growth.
This role, Digital Trading and Merchandising Manager, will lead trading activity across a key category. The role will lead a manage a large and complex category and one direct report.
The purpose of this role is to own the category strategy and sales budgets for your category and work with a wide variety of stakeholders including buying/trading teams, digital marketing and UX to achieve ambitious commercial goals. The role will encompass:
- Owning and driving the category performance to achieve and exceed the forecasted sales and margin targets. The Digital Trading & Merchandising Manager will be accountable significant year on year growth targets.
- This role involves managing the Digital Trading & Merchandising activity for a leading category.
- Continuously and rigorously analysing category and website performance to look for key opportunities to optimise conversion rates and user experience. Working with your key counterparts across, UX, Product Management and Digital marketing make recommendations on change and work with to implement change
- Own the relationship with the Head of Category/Senior Category Manager within Buying/Trading teams to optimise online category performance.
The ideal candidate for this role will possess a strong track record in digital trading and merchandising. You will have proven record managing a large and complex range and demonstrate strong project management.
