Based in Worcestershire, this manufacturing organisation are a supplier into the aerospace industry. They have an urgent requirement for a Demand Planner to join them and manage the supply chain of volume and parts to meet customer demand. The salary expectation for the role will be competitive at this level.
You will be responsible for ensuring production schedules are delivered on time and in full against schedules and that stock levels are maintained. You will plan works orders, liaise directly with internal stakeholders, progress parts, capacity plan, monitor slow moving or obsolete stock, report and maintain KPIs and analyse customer forecasts and communicate any issues or changes to the business in a timely manner.
To be successful within the role you will need a strong background in production/demand planning within any machine shop environment. Ideally from an aerospace sector but any manufacturing environment will be considered, you must be able to navigate MRP/ERP systems with ease. Strong IT skills will be needed onsite, especially within Excel as you will be required to manipulate date by using V Look Ups and Pivot Tables. As with most roles of this nature, communication at all levels of the business will be paramount - you will need to communicate efficiently with both internal and external stakeholders.
