Are you an experienced Data Analyst who has worked closely with finance? Are you looking to move into a thriving, worldwide business? Can you confidently analyse and interpret large data sets, provide insights and make recommendations?
We are delighted to be working with a leading and rapidly growing company based in Leicester. We are on the lookout for Data Analyst to join a highly experienced analytics team working within the finance function. You will be responsible for collecting, analysing, and interpreting large sets of data to support decision-making and optimise business operations. Your role will involve working closely with various teams within the organisation, including sales and finance, to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. Through your data-driven insights, you will contribute to enhancing customer experiences, optimising inventory management, and driving overall business growth.
Responsibilities:
- Collect and aggregate data from various sources.
- Clean, validate, and transform raw data into usable formats for analysis.
- Utilise statistical techniques and data visualisation tools to identify trends, patterns, and correlations within the data.
- Conduct in-depth analysis to uncover insights related to customer behaviour, product performance, market trends, and operational efficiency.
- Develop clear and concise reports, dashboards, and visualisations to communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Present data-driven insights in a visually appealing and easily understandable manner.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Identify areas of improvement and provide actionable recommendations to enhance operational efficiency, profitability, and customer experiences.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement data-driven solutions and measure the impact of initiatives.
- Utilise historical data and statistical models to forecast business needs.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and consistency across multiple systems and databases.
- Implement data quality controls and perform regular audits to identify and rectify data anomalies or discrepancies.
Attributes:
- Previous experience working in an Analyst role is essential.
- Confidently be able to resolve problems using large data sets and interpret the numbers.
- Strong previous experience working with a range of systems including SQL and Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Support your team and use your initiative with organising and keeping on top of your workload.
- Completion of a Mathematics, Data Analytics or similar degree would be advantageous.
