Customer Research Manager

My client, A leading name in the Travel and Leisure sector, is currently looking to recruit a Customer Research Manager into their CRM and Insights team to set up and manage the ongoing Customer Research function whilst they transform into a data led business,

This is a new role that comes with an exciting opportunity to manage a whole End to End research function across both B2B and B2C arms of the business as they bring the function in house. Taking the lead on the whole end-2-end process from initial concept through to delivery of results, this role comes with full autonomy

This would be a great opportunity for a Customer and data Research Specialist with experience running an End 2 End research process across a huge data set using qualitative and quantitative research methods.


  • Develop the UK customer research function, understand key business questions and align effective, impactful research to drive imperative change to the service.
  • Set up and manage the relationship with a research panel supplier to build and maintain a permanent Customer Panel, ensuring that it is effectively used by the business.
  • Work closely with the senior stakeholders across all sectors and functions of the business as well as 3rd party Research agencies to clear a backlog of research requirements
  • Present reports to key stake holders across the business and work with them to decide actionable steps to implement the findings effectively.
  • Use a variety of research methodologies to ensure all research is accurate, timely and provides the relevant business area actionable insight, as well as working on Competitive and Market analysis.
  • Use tools such as YouGov and interpret results for meaningful and useful insight for both the Brand and competitors


  • Prior expertise of best practice questionnaire design, being able to demonstrate working with different research tools and techniques, such as Panels and Focus Groups.
  • Strong research led background both in qualitative and quantitative research, with experience of agency management and management of customer panels
  • Experience of managing and delivering a portfolio of research projects to tight deadlines
  • Ability to present, explain and interpret data or analysis to non-technical audiences and senior stakeholders
  • Commercially astute with high levels of problem solving ability
  • Ability to collaborate, manage, influence and motivate across organisational boundaries.
