Gleeson Recruitment Group are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Credit Control Supervisor to join a multi site service organsiation with head quarters based in Chester. Salary between £30,000 - £45,000 per annum. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the accounts receivable and credit control team, ensuring timely and efficient collection of outstanding debts, and contributing to the overall financial performance of the business. The position requires a strong understanding of financial management and a proven track record of credit control management.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and lead the credit control team, ensuring all processes and procedures are followed to achieve collection targets
Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and colleagues
Provide regular updates to senior management on the status of outstanding debts and cash flow
Oversee the credit control process, including the management of aged debt and the implementation of payment plans and terms
Monitor customer accounts and credit limits to ensure that they are within agreed terms and take appropriate action where necessary
Develop and maintain credit control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with relevant legislation
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement changes to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the credit control function
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of credit control data to support business decision making

Qualifications and Experience:


Proven track record of success in managing teams and achieving collection targets
Strong understanding of financial management principles and practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Knowledge of relevant legislation and regulations related to credit control and debt collection
Experience with credit control software and systems
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred
