Credit Control Supervisor

High Wycombe - 2 days per week in the office

Very modern offices - hybrid working (3 days at home)

Our client is a highly reputable, established, multi-site business, who are proud every day to serve the client based across the UK. With their Head Office based in High Wycombe, they seek an experienced Credit Control Supervisor, to help guide, supervise and motivate the team of 6, who all have their own ledgers.

The successful Credit Control Supervisor will be reponsible for:

  • Managing and motivating a team of Credit Controllers to maximise their cash collection targets as well as minimising risk and exceeding their daily and monthly KPIs
  • You will be reporting to the UK Credit Manager and will be supporting the growing and award winning accounts receivable team which provides a vital service for the business
  • You will train, guide, lead, mentor, support and motivate the team of 6 Credit Controllers ensuring at all times that uniformity in working practices is achieved.
  • You will closely monitor the portfolios of accounts within your team to ensure cash recovery is maximised, and that accounts are paid to terms, and risk and exposure to bad debt is kept to a minimum
  • You will facilitate a continued improvement in the DSO and aim to reduce the overall ledgers of the total debtors
  • You will also ensure that queries are kept to a minimum and resolved in a timely manner along with the upkeep of general 'house-keeping' on the accounts including the reconciliation of unallocated cash to within acceptable KPI's.
  • Ensure any adverse resource impact that is generated by any other key dependency areas of the business are addressed and remedied to ensure effective and efficient management of working practices and processes.
  • Ensure that all procedures are maintained and are aligned to current working practices.
  • Build strong working relationships with key stakeholders including various Site Managers, front line Sales Teams and Customer Services Teams ensuring that this working ethos is embedded across everyone in the team
  • Provide regular communication between the teams, to ensure that there is a close-knit, supportive team at all times

The successful Credit Control Supervisor is likely to offer

  • Proven history in working in a similar team management and debt reduction role, within the UK recently
  • Past experience in a multi-site businesses dealing with a high level of customer account across a range of terms and contracts.
  • Intermediate Excel skills ideally including look ups and pivot tables
  • Strong people skills with the ability to lead by example, motivate and develop a high performing team
  • Target driven and tenacious
  • Resilient with the ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Well organised with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Ability to communicate and influence effectively at all levels.
  • Prepared to go above and beyond to support the team
