We are looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to design and deliver solutions across the design and implementation of control systems, both from a 'clean sheet of paper' as well as the development of existing systems. This may involve interfacing with electronic hardware and vehicle component systems engineers. This role will support a variety of our current portfolio which includes a diverse range of projects, including novel suspension systems for military application, innovative aircraft seating systems, a 'last mile' 18 tonne electric delivery truck and the design and delivery of a new hydraulic control system for a hypercar.
- Control System simulation, specification, implementation, and development
- Support mechanical, electrical, and electronic design work with systems and software engineering as required.
- Execution and development of test activities, including setup, testing, and reporting, to meet the objectives of the project
- Technical liaison with customers, suppliers, manufacturing, and internal stakeholders
You need to have previous experience within a controls/system Engineering role ideally working with Automotive, Aerospace, Marine and defence. You will be an excellent communicator and be able to articulate technical concepts and ideas well, specific to control system specifications (sensors, Actuator selection and electrical interfacing). You will be familiar using MATLAB, Simulink for simulations and auto-coding as well as C/C++ in embedded real time environment. You will be educated to degree level within a relevant engineering discipline and have previous experience commissioning of control systems both vehicle or Rig tests.
