I am looking for a high performing, driven Control Tower Director working within Air and Sea Freight who can drive tangible change within my client, a global freight business based in Heathrow.
I have an exciting opportunity to join a global freight provider as they look to recruit a highly capable Control Tower Director to focus on improving air, sea and courier operations throughout the whole of Europe. Based near Heathrow airport, the successful candidate will earn a competitive salary up to £70,000, plus benefits and bonus.
The successful candidate will have an autonomous role working closely with the Supply Chain Director to shape the planning and management of European freight movements by the business. As a senior team member onsite, you will be tasked with ensuring the highest levels of performance through efficient management of their Control Tower operation. You will lead your team and make process improvements where applicable, training and mentoring the staff as you push forwards.
The site is a freight forwarding environment where the key responsibilities will be to engage with all internal stakeholders from top to bottom. Driving a "team" culture where everyone is pulling in the same direction will be vital as you look to modernise and implement new processes KPIs. You will lead your team on a journey as you define what "good" looks like onsite, so driving levels of engagement will be critical to your success.
Previous experience of working within a freight forwarding distribution environment is paramount, you will strive to ensure that all transport activities are executed in accordance with customer service level agreements. The Control Tower Director is a critical role in driving change in culture, defining processes and ensuring adherence throughout the organisation, providing a platform for future development and growth. You will lead the European Control Tower, responsible for the operation on a day to day basis through the effective leadership of a team of variable levels and capability.
