My client, a global automotive business, are looking for an Communications Manager to join their growing communications team. Going through a period of growth and expansion, this is newly created role for the business, you will lead on delivering an engaging communications strategy across a range of channels. This role role plays a pivotal part in my clients strategic five year communication plan, and will support the Head of External Communications to deliver a wide remit of comms, including social media, PR, corporate identity, events media relations.

This role will suit someone who has operates at a strategic level, but is still hands-on in the delivery of communication activities.

The Role:

  • Defining and delivering an engaging communications strategy across a range of online and offline channels.
  • Creating press materials and liaising with regional, trade and national journalists.
  • Management of the firms corporate social media channels and website, including reporting and analytic.
  • Development of content for all external channels, including social media, customer newsletter, and press.
  • Create communication and marketing strategies for new products, launches, events and international promotions.
  • Deliver on any crisis comms necessary.
  • Work with agencies to find ways to amplify key global partnerships

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience in a similar Communications Manager role (ideally B2B)
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, prioritise and act with a sense of urgency.
  • Ability to understand complex business issues to craft messages for targeted audience groups.
  • Knowledge and understanding of national and regional influencer, media needs and media relationships.
  • Excellent copy writing skills and high attention to detail.
  • Management of B2B, B2C, media and key stakeholder events, including; exhibitions, conferences, experiential and virtual events.
